The ID.6 is based on the MEB platform and will feature seating for seven.
Volkswagen has teased the all-new ID.6, ahead of its debut on April 17th. Designed to "Meet the needs of Chinese users," the electric crossover will be offered in two different forms including the ID.6 X from SAIC-Volkswagen and the ID.6 CROZZ from FAW-Volkswagen. While that isn't much to go on, images of the crossover surfaced earlier this year and they showed the model will follow in the footsteps of the ID.4. That being said, the ID.6 will feature a unique front fascia and comically large headlights. The biggest differences are noticeable from the sides as the ID.6 will be 11.5 inches longer than the ID.4 and feature a wheelbase that has been stretched by 7.8 inches. The crossover will have a flatter beltline and an expanded greenhouse with new rear quarter glass. Power will be provided by an electric motor that produces 201 hp. It could eventually be joined by an all-wheel drive variant with two electric motors that produce a combined output of 302 hp.
