Fetterman reportedly accuses Newsom of 'running for president' without having 'the guts to announce it'

Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania reportedly accused California Gov. Gavin Newsom of running for president without actually annnouncing a White House bid. "There are two additional Democrats running for Pennsylvania, excuse me, running for president right now," Fetterman said at an Iowa Democratic Party dinner, according to NBC News. "If President Biden is the Democratic nominee, we face an unacceptable risk of Trump being back in the White House," he claimed in a social media post. Marianne Williamson has been running in the Democratic presidential primary since earlier this year. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who had been running in the Democratic presidential primary, declared himself an independent presidential candidate last month. Newsom became California governor in early 2019, survived a recall election in 2021, and won re-election in California's 2022 gubernatorial contest. Newsom recently traveled to China where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and others.
