Mini PC maker AOOSTAR unveils OCuLink graphics and storage docks

Chinese mini PC maker AOOSTAR's product lineup includes compact computers with features like discrete graphics, OCuLink ports for high-speed peripherals, and unusual designs that allow you to use a mini PC as a network-attached storage device, among other things. Now the company has revealed plans for several upcoming OCuLink-enabled accessories that let you add extra storage or discrete graphics to an existing mini PC. Storage dock. Want more storage for a mini PC with an OCuLink port? AOOSTAR is working on an external storage dock that provides four M.2 2280 slots. The company has released several pictures of the upcoming storage dock, including some showing that it fits comfortable beneath an AOOSTAR GEM10 mini PC, which suggests that it's thinner than that little computer, but about the same length and width. Thanks to the OCuLink port, this dock should support data transfer speeds up to 63 Gbps, but there's also a USB4 port that could allow you to use the dock with devices that don't have OCuLink ports, although speeds will most likely top out at around 40 Gbps. eGPU dock. AOOSTAR also plans to launch an external graphics dock that lets you add discrete graphics to any OCuLink-enabled PC. The dock has a built-in 400 watt power supply and a PCIe x16 interface that will let you connect just about any recent single-slot graphics card with power consumption up to 250 watts. A third product is an external graphics dock with an AMD Radeon RX 7650M XT GPU. AMD hasn't actually announced that GPU yet, but it's expected to be an updated version of the Radeon RX 7600M XT mobile GPU that's already available in similar graphics docks like the ONEXGPU and GPD G1. Pictures show that this model will have USB-C, USB-A, and two 3.5mm audio jacks on the front.
